Our Roots

The Mother-Son Duo, Mary and Matthew, have been making Fish & Chips for over 50 years combined. Mary learned the trade from her “Great Uncle” Hambis, a diligent Cypriot man who perfected his craft for Fish & Chips in the 1980s. Her son, Matthew, has been peeling potatoes for pocket money since he was 8 years old. Our family prepares every portion of Fish & Chips the way Great Uncle Hambis would have wanted: cooked with love and ludicrously tasty.

What makes great Fish & Chips great? It’s a question our family have sought to answer for generations. Top quality Cambridgeshire potatoes that make chips so crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside? Piping hot, flaky white fish? Irresistably crispy batter? That’s a given.

We believe that our nation’s dish should be more than just exceptionally delicious, it should be sustainably sourced and ethically packed, ensuring that Fish & Chips can be enjoyed for generations to come.
