The Athena B has been serving delicious and traditional Fish & Chips since 1996. Our focus is always on serving high quality, sustainably sourced Fish & Chips in biodegradable packaging. By looking after our planet and our ocean, we can ensure we’re able to serve our nation’s classic dish to all future generations to come.

Originally a Wet Fish Shop, the Athena B Chip Shop was taken over by great uncle Hambis and was passed down through the generations. The restaurant was originally named after the Greek cargo shipped that crashed ashore the beach of Brighton in January of 1980.

Our family believes the best food is made fresh and from scratch. That’s why every chip we serve is peeled and and chipped fresh, every pot of mushy peas is prepared daily in-house, every dollop of tartare sauce is mixed by hand, and every piece of sustainably sourced cod is carefully selected and filleted before lovingly dipped in our signature batter and fried in our sustainably sourced vegetable oil.
